Welcoming Ron Van Gelder from the Port of Rotterdam aboard the UniBarge

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Ron Van Gelder from the Port of Rotterdam aboard the UniBarge owned MT Houston supply barge at the Port of Rotterdam to observe first-hand our marine fuel delivery operations. The focus was on how the ISO 22192 (MID) assessment is conducted.

Yeong Yee and Tan Ting Jun from Metcore International Pte Ltd were also on board to demonstrate their new evaluation approach which enables the already MID set-up mass flow meters (MFMs) in the Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Antwerp (ARA) region to be compliant with ISO 22192 which is a more robust standard that mirrors Singapore's MFM bunker standards.

All TFG Marine barges operating in ARA are now fully compliant with ISO 22912 using Metcore International Pte Ltd’s new evaluation approach.

It was an immensely valuable session, which we anticipate will help the Port of Rotterdam introduce a comprehensive standard akin to that adopted by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).
