Last month, the TFG Marine team was out in full force at the Petrospot Limited Maritime Week Americas Conference in Panama where we engaged in a series of discussions with customers and industry peers to explore new opportunities and address the challenges facing our industry.

During the event, our Global Head of Bunkering, Kenneth Dam, joined a panel discussion alongside Adrian Tolson (Vice Chair of IBIA), Tammi Ingannamorte (ZeroNorth), and Tom Sosnowski (OPIS, A Dow Jones Company) that focused on Panama's pivotal role in bunkering for the region and examined key trends affecting bunkering in the Americas, including fuel quality, future fuels, transparency and digitalisation.

During the discussion, Kenneth emphasized that "without raising standards on widespread mass flow meter implementation and adoption, the use of electronic bunker delivery notes, and modernising bunkering logistics and infrastructure, many ports in the region could see reduced bunkering activity and limited future investments."

Kenneth reiterated that TFG Marine is on hand to provide the necessary guidance and support for those ports seeking to modernise and implement best-practices.
